About me

I am an accredited counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I am also registered with UKRCP (United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I have a Post-Graduate Diploma & MA. in Counselling.

I am a counsellor at a college of further education. This means I work with a wide age group, from sixteen year olds who are just starting out, to mature students who may be retraining or attending a recreational course. Consequently, over the years I have gained experience in many different areas of counselling.

All my work is carried out in compliance with the BACP ethical framework and guidelines. I undertake regular supervision, attend professional development events and I also engage in regular training to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

In addition I am also able to offer supervision to counsellors and others in the helping profession.

I also work for two charitable organisations: ‘Signhealth’, providing counselling for the profoundly Deaf through the use of British Sign Language and ‘The Long Boat Home’ providing reduced fee counselling for servicemen/women, their partners and adult independents.
